BODY LANGUAGE *PROVOCATIVE DANCE* [RENE]

So Annerb Island turned out to be a pretty good place to chillax. Lumi had started going there more often because it was peaceful and quiet and she didn't feel like she had to constantly keep looking over her shoulder.

Except...today. For some reason she had that feeling (you know...THAT FEELING) that she was being followed or something. But she wasn't sure HOW she could be followed since she had come here in a boat and there were no other boats to be seen...

Oh right...those Ughdarrans...they can breathe under water...

Lumi, I think you're being paranoid, Moxie said with a lack of care. (That's right, everyone! Moxie still exists! Even though I haven't mentioned her for a million posts!)

I'm going home! Lumi exclaimed, and started to rush back to where she'd tied her boat at the dock.

(YES, LUMI. RUN TOWARDS THE LARGE BODY OF WATER. I'M SURE IT'S SAFER THERE.)

Rene had followed Lumi all the way to Annerb Island under the water. When she left her boat, he had waited for her to leave before he decided to destroy it. He waited underwater, waiting for her to come back.

Lumi ran all the way back to the dock where she saw the destroyed remains of what used to be a boat. Her heart started beating a million miles an hour and she started to get a dizzy, sick feeling that told her a panic attack was on its way.

She was all the way at the end of the dock. Trying to keep herself calm long enough to get away from the water's edge, she turned around and started to run back to land.

Rene grew excited. Using the water, he lifted himself out until he was looking down at Lumi. He laughed creepily, and made the water place him down onto land in front of her. "Long time no see, pretty lady!" he said, tilting his head to the side.

Lumi screeched to a halt just inches in front of Rene. Horrified as she was that he was blocking her path onto the ground and she was stuck on the dock, she couldn't help but first notice how horribly disfigured he looked from the various cuts and bruises and contusions all over him. Quinn had really done a number on him. Not that he didn't deserve it and more.

She was trapped, with nowhere to run to. She had weapons this time, but she was in such a state of shock that she was temporarily unable to move, frozen in place just inches before her worst fear.

Rene cracked his neck and licked his lips. "What're you lookin' at pretty lady? Lookin' at my ugly face!?" he roared, while grabbing the collar of her shirt and pulling her into him.

Lumi let out a tiny yell when he pulled her into him. She began to fight, trying to pull away, and trying to push him away. With one arm she reached into her back pocket and pulled out a penknife, and raised it above her head. Without pausing to aim for anything specific she brought it down towards him.

Rene growled. He pushed Lumi away, and pulled the knife out from his shoulder. He stared at the knife, snorted, then threw it in the water. So Lumi couldn't get at it anymore, he had the water drag it down to the bottom of the sea. "It's so much fun playing with you," he said with a creepy smile, though his eye were narrowed into glares.

Lumi watched her knife sink. It...it wasn't a loss...she had more...But even with this thought, she still was feeling pretty desperate. She had just stabbed him and he had hardly even flinched.

The way he looked at her sent chills down her spine. He wanted to cause pain. He wanted to cause her pain.

She brandished another knife; it was the silver dagger she'd used in Froom Valley a very, very long time ago. She was going to defend herself, no matter how futile her attempts were. Her breathing was fast and ragged, but she was somehow keeping her hands steady around the dagger.

Rene stared at Lumi for a moment, thinking about what he could do. Finally he decided, and threw his hand up into the air, and threw it back down again, causing a huge wave of freezing cold water crash into Lumi.

Lumi was knocked off her feet by the force of the wave. The dagger slipped out of her hand. When the freezing water had poured back into the ocean (river, lake, whatever) she was facedown on the dock, the dagger just lying a few feet away. She lifted her head and reached for it...

Rene had aproached Lumi, and he stepped on her hand so she couldn't reach the dagger. "Naughty, naughty Miss pretty lady!" He bent over, and picked up the dagger and began to study it, all the while his foot still on her hand.

Lumi cringed as he stepped on her hand. It hurt. She tried to pull free, but to no avail. She looked up at Rene who was idly studying her dagger, and an idea hit her. If she could distract him for just a second, she could use her last remaining knife to cut his Achilles tendon so he couldn't chase her, and escape.

She took a breath. She just had one shot. She willed the dagger in his hand to start moving, yanking, trying to pull it out of his hand, while she pulled her other dagger out of concealment...

Rene noticed the dagger trying to escape from his hand, and looked down at Lumi. "Trying to save yourself again?" he asked, tilting his head. He motioned his hands swiftly to the right, and a wave crashed on the dock, pulling Lumi into the water. He laughed gleefully, and made the water drag Lumi under like he did with the knife. But this time he pulled her back up to the surface and forced the water to throw her back onto the dock.

Lumi inhaled copious amounts of water and for a brief second was absolutely convinced that she was going to drown, when suddenly she was thrown back onto the dock at Rene's feet. She coughed up water and gasped for air, grateful to be alive but aghast that her last chance for escaping was gone.

What was going to happen now? Was he going to kill her?

She looked up at him, and in between coughs and gasps she managed to choke out one word:

"Why?"

"Why? WHY?! Because you disgust me, that's why!" Rene roared at her. He was beginning to have another flashback, and looked at Lumi as if he was the one who tortured young Rene, and Lumi was young Rene. He grabbed Lumi by the hair and pulled her up so she was on her feet again. "Fight me! You worm! Fight me if you fucking dare!" he growled at her.

What was this? It was as if he didn't know who she was. He thought she was someone else? His sudden change in demeanor was strange and terrifying.

If she fought him, she'd be killed. If she didn't fight him...she'd still probably get killed, but there was a chance she wouldn't. Logic overrode pride and she conceded.

"I don't dare," she whispered. "I don't want to fight you."

"Typical, typical of something so weak and disgusting like yourself," Rene said in a mocking tone.

Typical? Weak and disgusting? She wasn't going to just give up after that. And in his smugness he'd dropped his guard, giving Lumi the perfect chance. With her steel-toed, pointy shoes she kicked him as hard as she possibly could (I'll let you decide where) and didn't stop, letting out all her fury and hatred she'd ever felt toward him. She started to use her fists too, not as effective but she could hit more points on his body. She screamed and cried and hit him over and over with all the force she possibly could.

She didn't stop. She didn't think. She just hit.

Rene's eyes grew wide with fear. He dropped to the ground and screamed and cried in pain and fear while Lumi beat him. "Please stop! Please stooooop!" he screamed over and over again. Tears started to spill from his eyes.

Lumi had undoubtedly lost control of herself, but she regained it at the sound of pathetic begging and crying. She looked at the mess before her. The crying, bloody mess. Now the roles were reversed; Rene was hurt and broken and scared, and Lumi was standing over him with all the power in the world.

A feeling she had never, ever felt before came over her. It was the type of feeling that scared her in other people. With a savage pleasure she kicked Rene again, and again. It felt good.

"How--does--it--feel--huh!?" she screamed, tears flowing down her face, kicking him with each syllable.

Rene choked and sputtered through his tears, and with each kick he let out a pathetic scream. He rolled onto his belly, and tried his hardest to try and crawl away. Just like he did when he was younger...

Lumi finally stopped. She backed away on shaky legs. What was she doing? If she kept this up, she would...oh god...She collapsed to her knees and let out a terrible scream.

"You...made...me...do...it...!" she sobbed hysterically. Rene made her enjoy his pain. With everything he had done to her. He made her act like everything she hated.

She knew she should be taking this opportunity to run. She shakily got to her feet and stepped over him, and kept going.

Rene layed there, still. He sobbed and shook violently. Poor Rene. Poor Lumi.
