They let her go. Shakily, Lumi tried to stand up, but as soon as she tried to lift herself up she let out a cry of pain because of her arm. She rolled over and pushed herself up with her other arm and stood, swaying dangerously.

She looked around dazedly, and everything started to come into focus, and the disorientation started to go away.

"Quinn?" she asked, bewildered.

"Oh, thank god," Quinn breathed. "Yes, it's me Quinn."

He stepped forward, so he could catch her just in case she fell, "Lumi, you need to get to a hospital, straight away!"

Lumi looked down at her right arm and cringed. It was grotesquely twisted and bent up at several awkward and unnatural angles. No wonder it hurt so bad.

"Everything hurts," she said again. She looked up at Quinn. "He did it to me!"

"I know Lumi, I know," Quinn said sadly. "Please, I need to get you to a hospital!"

He looked at Lumi worriedly, "I'll carry you, or something, please let's go!"

Lumi still didn't seem to be comprehending a word Quinn was saying. She wobbled, lightheaded from the blood loss. The cuts on her back stung and seared horribly.

"He...tried to drown me, he...he said...about you..." Lumi said, her voice getting fainter and fainter as she struggled to stay conscious. "He...said..."

The world around her started to fade and she began to fall forward.

Quinn held out his arms and caught Lumi before she could fall to the ground. He swung her back up into his arms and carried her off the the hospital.
