feels like forever. [Lumi and Quinn]

"Come on, Luca," Max said, trotting to where the land met the water that rushed down. Luca followed close behind, reaching the edge shortly after.

"Wow," she gasped, looking down the waterfall. It was so pertyful. :3 The air was just cold enough that you could feel it as you took a breath, but the snow had melted and the sky was clear. The sun wasn't strong enough to warm up the place yet, but it was getting there.

Though Luca did feel a bit out of her element, she loved coming to the waterfall. Maybe it was because she was out of her element that she enjoyed it; maybe she enjoyed watching nature do its thing without having any control over it.

She sat on the edge, her feet dangling back and forth next to the water. Max sat next to her, wrapping his tail around his legs.

"...though I do like the idea of getting married here at the Falls," Lumi was saying to Quinn, as the two of them journeyed throughout Amelia in search of the perfect wedding place, "there's just one thing I'm worried about..."

She was worried that Alecis, who she planned on asking to be a bridesmaid (maybe even the Maid of Honor) would have too many unpleasant memories about Tamar Falls to want to come. It would be like if one of Lumi's friends got married on Theodore Lane almost.

But the Falls were so beautiful, and otherwise it would totally be the perfect place. "Hm...screw it...I want to get married here," Lumi decided. Leci probably wouldn't want to come no matter where it was.

Suddenly she looked up and saw someone at the edge of the Falls. Someone vaguely familiar, like maybe someone Lumi had seen in Dian before or something. "Hey, look," she said, pointing at the girl. "Do you know that girl?"

Quinn listened to Lumi intently, nodding and such, so she knew that he was listening.

Lumi wrote:"Hm...screw it...I want to get married here,"

Quinn nodded once more, "The falls are such a beautiful place to get married at."

Lumi wrote:"Do you know that girl?"

Quinn looked up at the girl Lumi was speaking of. He had no idea who she was.

"I have no idea who that is," he told her.

"Oh, look! People," Luca said. She squinted, trying to see who was down there, and she just slightly recognized the woman. Who was she? It was right there...oh! Nope. Maybe she needed to get a little closer.

She stood up, Max following her, and she walked the other way, out of the sight of the two people at the bottom.

And then she suddenly appeared behind them somehow. "Hey," she said, walking up to them. And then it hit her: this was that lady that left Dian to go get married to some Overloridian...probably this guy. "I'm Luca, from Dian."

Lumi turned around when the girl somehow appeared behind them. She had a catish daemon, similar to Moxie. Maybe they were similar in personality! Lumi liked people who reminded her of herself.

"Oh hi," she replied, smiling. "I'm Lumi, formally from Dian." She shook Luca's hand. She glanced at Quinn, knowing he could introduce himself.

How the hell did she do that?

Quinn stood there and waited for Lumi to finish introducing herself. When she finished, Quinn smiled at the girl held out his hand and said, "And my name is Quinn."

"Yeah," she said, nodding as she shook their hands. "I've heard about you a bit in Dian. I think it's real cute that you two are together. You look really pretty next to each other, especially with the falls behind you." She took a second to just admire the couple. So pretty.

"Are you guys gonna have kids, you think?" Though she didn't usually let people in on her personal life, she tended to ask a lot of questions if it was needed to keep conversation going. She hated awkward silences, and liked listening to people, as long as they aren't babbling along about nothing.

"Erg," Lumi replied to the uncomfortable and completely random question. It wasn't uncomfortable because she was squicky about having kids, in fact she'd have loved to have Quinn's kids, it was just...

Back when Rene had beaten the crap out of her and killed incest!baby in the process (she cringed at the memory, but managed to force it back into the dark recesses of her mind before she could have a panic attack from the thought) the doctor she went to afterwords had told her the cold truth; she was probably never going to be able to conceive again.

She, uh, hadn't exactly mentioned this to Quinn yet.

"Er...we haven't really discussed...that...yet," she replied, looking up at Quinn to see his reaction to the question.

Although they never actually did discuss, Quinn wouldn't mind having children. He wouldn't mind two or three.

"I would love to have children!" Quinn exclaimed happily. "Two or three at the most."

Luca could tell that Lumi didn't look too happy about having babies. Oops. She hadn't meant to cause any awkward conversations to occur.

But then she realized that Quinn didn't seem fazed by Lumi's reaction by any means. How oblivious could a guy be? Oh well. They'd have to work that out on their own time, she wouldn't bother with it anymore.

"I see. So," she said, looking around the falls. "Were you thinking of getting married here? It's a beautiful place. I come here a lot, just to think, you know?"

"Yeah, we were, actually," Lumi replied, grateful for the change in subject (although she was very miffed at Quinn's enthusiastic reaction to the thought of having babies.) She smiled, reached up and rubbed Quinn's shoulder a little bit before letting her hand drop back down to her side.

She looked around and sighed in a content sort of way. She was going to get married here. Wow.

"Can you believe this is really going to happen?" she asked Quinn.

"Yes," Quinn replied, while grabbing the hand she rubbed his shoulder with. He didn't really know what else to do or say at the moment, so he'd Lumi talk for a little while until he found a good spot to jump into the conversation. He'd listen to both girls the whole time though.
