such a beautiful disaster [Quinn]

Alecis had had a tough week. Everything with work, plus Rowan was piling up. She hadn't even gotten a chance to talk to Lumi yet, though she knew she needed to. It seemed like she just didn't have any time anymore.

The only reason she was at the falls was because her kid sister wanted to make snow angels. Eva and their brother, Lorrik, were both playing at the bottom of the hill, next to the Ramat river. Alecis was sitting on a rock, above the stream that lead to the falls, looking down on them. She had her head rested on her knees, and was thinking.

Nothing lately had been going right. She had hoped that things would right themselves, but as normal with Alecis' problems, they had never gone away, but instead grown.

Ugh. It made her want to cry.

Quinn was walking along the Ramat river, heading towards the drop off of the falls. Maybe once he got there, he could jump off the edge and kill himself. That thought quickly went away, when Lumi's face flashed in his mind, plus, he saw Alecis over yonder. No point in being anitsocial.

"Hello Alecis," he said when he reached her.

Her thoughts were interrupted by a smooth voice she recognized. It was Quinn, Overloridian of Ughdarras.

"Hey there," she answered, trying her best to smile. "Whatcha up to?"

Quinn smiled, he was glad he was able to find company actually. Maybe Alecis could get Rene off of his mind.

"Oh nothing," he sorta lied, "Just out for a walk is all."

"Sounds nice. I wish I could say the same," Alecis said lightly.

"Mmm, I see," Quinn said with a nod.

"Mind if I take a seat?" he asked her.

"Go right ahead, it's not like I'm doing anything." Even though she should be! Maybe he knew this Lumi chick. It was a long shot, but it wouldn't hurt, asking him.

"Do you by chance know anyone named Lumi? I think she's a Dian..."

Quinn was glad she said yes, and he sat next to her.

"Do you by chance know anyone named Lumi? I think she's a Dian..."

"Ah yes, yes I do," he replied, smiling at the thought of her.

Instantly, Alecis brightened up, her eyes glowing. "That's so amazing, Quinn!," she breathed, letting weights float off her chest.

"Do you think might be able to ask her to meet with me?"
