HELLO ASSHOLE [quinn]

Lumi waited uncomfortably at Tamar Falls for Quinn to show up. Since she didn't know what he was going to say to her, she was really apprehensive. What if he was still objectafying her and minimalizing her suffering? She hoped to Amelia!god that that wasn't the case.

She tried to keep her mind blank while she waited so that she wouldn't be so weary, and zoned out watching the waterfall.

Quinn arrived at Tamar Falls and smiled when he saw Lumi. He was worried that she was going to be so angry with him still, that she wouldn't show up. He sat next to Lumi, a couple feet away so he didn't iritate her, and said, "Lumi, I want to talk to you."

Lumi turned a little bit, looked away, and said stiffly, "I'm listening." She hoped for the best but prepared for the worst. She wasn't sure how much could have changed in the couple of days she'd been gone.

Quinn took in a deep breath then said, "Lumi, I'm sorry. You were right. I should have talked to you about it. I shouldn't have been so protective. I should have thought about your feelings before I thought about your safety," he paused to take a breath then said again, "I'm sorry..."

Lumi looked up and looked into Quinn's eyes intensely. She searched his face for any sign that he was lying or being insincere, but found none. "You really mean that?" she asked quietly. "All of it?"

Quinn stared back into Lumi's eyes and nodded, "I mean every single word of it."

Lumi let out the breath she'd been holding. "So no more overprotectiveness? No more 'for my own good' shit or whatever?" she asked, resisting the urge to embrace Quinn right then and there. "Do you finally get why I was upset?"

Quinn nodded once again. He really did understand. He even tried to put himself into her position, and realized how it must have felt, to have an overprotective fiance, and an annoying little red head following him everywhere. (Who actually really was, recently.)

"You have no idea," Lumi began, looking back away. She paused just to make Quinn a little nervous, then looked back up at him and smiled, "how happy that makes me." She edged closer to him.

Quinn's heart pounded when she paused, it seemed like it took forever for her to speak again. But when she finally spoke again, he grinned widely. "Will you come back home now?"

"Of course," Lumi replied. She smiled sweetly for a moment, but then suddenly her smile disappeared and her expression darkened. "But if you ever pull that shit again, I'm leaving for good. Got it?"

Quinn shook his head 'yes' very roughly. "Never again, I promise." He looked at her and smiled.

"...Good," Lumi said finally. She smiled and edged closer again so that they were almost touching but not quite. "That's good, because...I really did miss you, even though I was mad."

Quinn scooted closer too, so now they were touching. "You have no idea how much I missed you."

Lumi rested her head on his shoulder. "So when we go back home," she murmured, kissing his neck gently, "was there...anything specific you wanted to do...?"

Quinn sat there thinking for a moment, then smiled. "We can cuddle!"

Lumi laughed. "Well, yeah, that," she replied. "but I was thinking of something we could do before that."

Quinn sat there for another moment. "Eat dinner?" he asked, a little confused.

"No!" Lumi exclaimed, laughing again. She hugged Quinn. "You're so cute. Do you really not know what I'm talking about?" She gave him a meaningful, suggestive look.

Quinn sat there for another confused moment, "If it's not dinner, and cuddling comes after it..." His brow furrowed, finally it came to mind. "Oooooooohhhhhhh!"

Lumi smiled, closed her eyes and shook her head. "Now you get it?" she asked him, amused by how innocent he was being.

She looked at the ground. "So...what do you say?"

"Well," Quinn started. "Just promise me one thing." He grabbed her hand and squeezed gently.

Lumi tilted her head to the side, perplexed, and looked at Quinn. "Sure, anything. What is it?" she asked.

"Promise me, that we will get to cuddle," Quinn said to her with a grin.

Lumi laughed and wrapped her arms around Quinn. "I love you so much," she told him, even though she did think it was a little weird that he was a guy who preferred cuddling to sex. Weird in a good way, of course. "And I promise."
