SUN, SAND AND SURF [QUINN]

Quinn had been very thoughtful lately, Lumi thought, doing everything he possibly could to distract her from the horrible revelation that Rene was her biological brother. He was so sweet, but his efforts were usually in vain. It was a touch thing to be distracted from.

Today they were going to the beach, to try and have fun. Lumi thought it was a little chilly for swimming, but she knew that Quinn liked to swim in SUB ZERO temperatures and wouldn't mind, so she decided not to complain. She'd get used to the water.

Lumi felt a little uncomfortable in her blue bikini bathing suit, but since her and Quinn were uber-rich they had rented out a private part of the beach so that no one would be there but them.

Time to have fun.

Quinn was so glad that Lumi agreed to come. He wanted to get Rene off of her mind as much as possible. Maybe tonight the beach would wear her out so much she'd fall asleep for once.

It was a little nipply today, but Quinn didn't mind. He loved swimming in SUB ZERO water.

As explained in the first post, Quinn had rented out a private part of the beach, so it was just him and Lumi. He could go skinny dipping in the daylight now. Something he never did before.

He wasn't going to get naked yet, but when him and Lumi found a good spot, he layed his towel down, and stripped until his was just in his swim trunks.

Lumi shivered and tried to pass it off as excitement rather than cold. "Sh-shall we get in the water now?" she asked, putting on a fake smile. God, the water was going to be freezing. Did she really want to make Quinn happy that much?

She looked at him. Yes, she did.

She went up to the edge of the water and took one step into it. "OH GOD THAT'S COLD!" she shrieked, jumping back onto the dry sand. Oops. She cleared her throat and looked at Quinn. "I mean...I might need some time to get used to the water..."

Quinn grinned at his cold fiancee. "I could warm it up for you," he told her.

He bent down and stuck both hands into the water. He got this concentrated look on his face, then a couple moments later he stood back up.

"There, try it now," he said Lumi, smiling.

Lumi hesitantly stuck her toe into the water. It was warm now, almost as warm as the water in the bathhouse! "Oh wow, it's so warm now!" she exclaimed, beginning to wade further into the water. She smiled at Quinn. "It's perfect."

Once she was about knee-deep she looked back at Quinn. "Well, are you coming in with me?"

Quinn watched Lumi wade into the water, until she stopped and turned back to look at him.

Lumi wrote:"Well, are you coming in with me?"

Quinn raised his eyebrows and said, "Hm? Oh yes! Yes!"

With a goofy grin on his face, Quinn trotted into the water until his was next to Lumi. He was a little disapointed that the water wasn't cold, but oh well, maybe when Lumi didn't feel like swimming he could cool in down again.

They went deeper until they were about waist-deep. Well, waist-deep for Lumi. They just stood there awkwardly for a few moments as Lumi tried not to think unpleasant thoughts.

She looked at Quinn and thought, you know what, screw it. I'm going to have fun today.

Without another moment of hesitation, Lumi reached out and shoved Quinn over into the water, and then grinned playfully as he reemerged.

When Quinn resurfaced from the water, he looked surprised, then he smirked mischievously. "It's not wise to pick a water fight with somebody in Ughdarras!"

He pushed his hands forward, then pulled them back, causing a wave to pick up Lumi, and drag her into Quinn's arms. He held her close, took in a deep breath, then gave her...NUM NUMS.

Lumi laughed as Quinn num-nummed her and tried to squirm out of his grasp, though she didn't really want to get away all that much. x] She wrestled with Quinn more until they both fell over into the nuke luke-warm water with a SPLASH!

The water picked Lumi and Quinn back up with ease. "I'm very skilled at the waters my darling, are you sure you can take me?" he asked Lumi in a chinese-man-like voice.

Lumi looked at Quinn for a moment without saying anything for a while, looking very innocent. Then she spit water out of her mouth all over his face. "I'm sure," she grinned, before pushing him back into the water. She turned and started to swim away.

With a big sigh, the water on Quinn's face was swept away. "You're not getting away from me that easily!" he called out to her.

Doing the same motions he did before, a wave grabbed Lumi and carried her to him again. Then, making a circular motion with his finger, a small little whirlpool spun Lumi around a couple times before he stopped it.

(It wasn't so fast that it would make her throw up though. Or drown.)

"Whoa," Lumi said dizzily, wobbling a little bit after the whirlpool thing. Once everything stopped spinning she glared at Quinn, but in a playful way. "Next time I choose what we do so that we can have a fair contest."

Nonetheless she wasn't going to give up that easily, so with a grin she lunged at Quinn and wrapped her arms and legs around him, this time knocking them both underwater.

Well, they would have fallen underwater, but instead, Quinn pulled a Moses and cleard a spot in the water, where him and Lumi landed gently into the sand.

With a mischeivious smirk, Quinn wrapped his arms around Lumi and drummed his fingers on her spine.

"How cool is this?" he asked her, sounding like a stupid teenaged boy.

"You sound like a stupid teenaged boy," Lumi replied, though she was smiling. Suddenly an idea hit her. "Oh hey, when we kiss you should make a wave crash over us. That would be cool."

She leaned down and kissed him passionately.

Quinn kissed her back and did as he was told, and allowed the warm waves to crash over their bodies.

Quinn didn't pull away, until their heads had resurfaced above the water.

"How was that?" he asked her, smiling his big beautiful smile.

"You were there," Lumi replied with a beautiful smile of her own. It had been wonderful of course. She looked around the vast waters, then back to Quinn. "What else can you do?"

"I can breath under water, but I think you knew that since all Ughdarra's can," Quinn started to tell her.

He stood there for a moment, thinking about all the cool tricks he could to that would impress is fiancee. "I can't make huge deadly ones, but I can make water spouts," he told her.

(I'm sure you know what a water spout is, but just in case they're basically water tornados.)

Lumi feigned yawning teasingly. "Small, nondeadly water spouts? Come on, I'm sure the great Ughdarras Overloridian can come up with something better than that."

"Well, I can make deadly ones, but I really don't want to," Quinn told her truthfully.

Quinn thought of other things he could do. There were so many!

He looked at Lumi, "What do you want me to do?"

"Show me something..." Lumi said thoughtfully, trying to decide how best to challenge her fiance. "Show me something I've never seen any clio do before...and will never see any other clio do again." She smiled expectantly.

"Hmmm..." Quinn stood there in a funny stance with his hand cupping his chin. Sort of like the thinking stance. Finally, Quinn swept his hands into the air, and a large wall of water rose behind him, then he gracefully yet roughly threw his hands down, making a huge dome of water over the tops of their heads.

He stood up and looked at his creation. "Are you pleased now?" he asked her, teasingly.

Lumi looked in awe at the dome of water surrounding them. She could even see fish swimming around above their heads. It was wonderful. "Wow," she breathed.

She mimicked Quinn's thinking position. "Now what can I do for you?" she looked at him for suggestions.

"It shouldn't be too hard for you to figure out. Anything with you makes me happy," Quinn told her.

He was grinning cutely.

"Well, this would be a pretty romantic place to..." Lumi said, trailing off. She was pretty sure Quinn would be able finish the sentence correctly and know what she was talking about, but then again he might end up saying "cuddle?".
