A Whale of a Splash [Cray]

Yolande had stopped by her home to slip into ther bathing suit. It was new. BRAND NEW. Never been worn before new! It was a reddish purple two peice, the first two peice Yolande had EVER worn. She was so excited!

Stepping into the bathhouse, Yolande smiled. Dashing towards the pool, she dropped her towels in a safe, non-wet spot and jumped into the water with a large splash. She surfaced laughing and finally started to look for Cray.

Cray arrived at the bath house a little bit after Yolande got there. She was glad to see that Yolande was wearing a baithing suit, because Cray had brought hers too.

She went to the locker rooms, changed into a rainbow two peice, that matched her eyes, and slipped into the water.

She smiled at Yolande and said, "Hello!"

"H-hi!" Yolande felt perky and happy. She probably sparkled with happiness!

Cray grinned at Yolande.

"I love the warm water!" said Cray.

"I-it d-does make a d-delightful change. N-normally I swim in the water a-at Repori B-beach. I-its cold right now." Yolande gave a small grin at Cray's excitement.

Cray nodded in agreement. The beach was cold.

"I bet it's not cold enough for Quinn!" she said.

Quinn loves the cold. she thought to herself.

"R-really? I l-like s-swimming no matter w-what, but I p-prefer more moderate temperatures. T-this is actually w-warmer than I like." Yolande commented.

Cray nodded, she had no idea why, but Quinn loved swimming in cold water.

"Well as for me, I love this warm water!" Cray said with a smile.

She made hugging motions at the water.

"Water is water!" Yolande agreed with a large smile, sinking down to her nose in the bath waters. Yolande laughed as Cray tried to hug the water. Concentrating slightly, Yolande made the water hug Cray back, hoping to please the nice dian girl.

Cray felt the warm water hug her back, and was surprised at first, but then relized that Yolande had done it. She giggled.

"That was so cool!" she said.

She looked around to see if there was any metal she could control to make Yolande happy.

"Thanks!" Yolande giggled, insanely happy to be getting on fine with such a nice clio. Maybe they could even be friends! Yolande smiled blissfully. Nearby, Merris grinned as he felt how happy Yolande was.

Finally something came to mind. My silverwear! thought Cray.

"I'll be right back!" she said to Yolande, and hopped out of the giant tub.

She quickly went to her bag, and brought out her spoon, then brought it back into the bath with her.

"Watch this!" Cray said.

She held the spoon out in her palm, then watching it, she made it float into the air, and bent it without actually touching it. Then she let it float gently back into her hand and looked at Yolande, hopeing that impressed her.

"Oh wow." Yolande breathed, so amazed she didn't even stammer. "D-do you want to see w-w-what I can do?" Yolande asked bashfully, peeking out at cray from beneath her bangs.

"Do you want to see what I can do?"

Cray got excited, she had seen Quinn do so many things with the water, and it always impressed her, but she was curious about other Ughdarras eilemaidens.

"Sure!" she said happily.

Concentrating, Yolande made a rope of water rise into the air and lazily make loops, then shapes. First a butterfly, then a leaf covered tree with little leaves drifting off. Next, two playing kittens and finally a smiling, tail wagging figure of Merris, playfully bouncing around. "Well?" Yolande asked once she had allowed the water to flow back into the bath.

Cray watched, fascinated. Once Yolande finished Cray said, "That was so cool!"

Cray clapped excitedly.

"Thanks." Yolande replied with a happy blush, her eyes glistening with happiness. "Do you want to play catch?" She asked suddenly, the idea popping into her mind.

Cray titled her head to the side, "Play catch with what?" she asked.

Scooping a small handful of water up, Yolane ran her hands over it, molding it into a perfect, swirling ball of water. It felt warm and moving, alive in her hands, always a pleasing feeling. "With this." Yolande answered before tossing the water at Cray.

Cray caught the little ball of water, to her surprise, she never can catch anything. She tossed it back to Yolande, "This is sorta fun!" she said happily.
