Sleep taim nowz?

Alecis was sick of clio.

In the past few days she had run into more Overloridians than should be allowed. And her least favorite, Rowan, had been run into more than any of them. Leci didn't like any clio that wasn't a Cuir, and Overloridians were twice as bad. They all thought they knew everything, and that was something Alecis hated.

Rheis snickered at Alecis's thoughts, "That's a little hypocritical, don't you think?"

Alecis glared at her daemon. All she wanted was some peace and quiet, which was why this was the place she had come. Froom Valley was the most peaceful place in all of Amelia, it was open and it smelled delicious. The salty air mixed with the fragrance of the different flowers and it could almost lull you to sleep if the temperature was right.

And today, it was.

So that's what Alecis had planned for today. Her faithful servant, Clyr was sitting nearby, keeping watch, while she laid down, watching the clouds go by. She loved manipulating the air and changing the shapes of the clouds. It was something her younger siblings loved, and as she made a bunny shape in one right above her she thought of her sister, Eva...

Finally, Alecis drifted off to sleep, Rheis curled up next to her.

Eliot preceded Ophelia into the valley, where she'd decided she'd spend the afternoon reading. It was something she did often when there was a lot on her mind, and considering the recent insanity in the Gully, this was the first moment of peace she'd had in days.

Clad in a faded blue sundress tied with a satin ribbon at the waist she sashayed in her usual manner through the valley in search of a shaded place to perch. Eliot eventually landed at her side and matched her pace in silence. They didn't need to speak, of course, but for the moment they were choosing to even keep silence between their connected minds.

Finally, Ophelia settled on a medium-sized rock beneath a willow tree. Ignoring the presence of another clio, whom she could just barely see a little ways away but didn't care, for the moment, to try to identify, she opened the little book she had in her hands and held it in her lap. But almost immediately she was distracted, and a distant look clouded her eyes. She sighed, clear eyes watching the sky, a hand holding the page she'd hardly glanced at. To anyone passing by she'd appear lost in thought, her noble-looking daemon perched delicately beside her.

It was quiet and peaceful as ever in the Valley. Nym frolicked around playfully, chasing and nipping at the occasional butterfly, while Rowan walked alongside. He was seemingly lost in thought, though every once in a while he'd glance up and scan the area, as if looking for someone.

'Someone you're hoping to see, Rowan?' Nym asked teasingly.

'Maybe,' Rowan replied with a small smile.

As it so happens, he did happen to see a few clio he recognized, none of which were the particular one he wanted to see. To his displeasure, one of them was Alecis, who was (thankfully) asleep, while another clio watched over her from nearby. Rowan walked past her, all the while hoping that she wouldn't wake up and notice him. He also saw Ophelia, the Ughdarras Overloridian. She was one of the few Overloridian Rowan had nothing against, and he might have even waved to her if she hadn't seemed completely lost in thought.

He wandered a ways away from them until Nym began complaining of wanting to stop. They found a comfortable-looking grassy area to relax in. Nym stretched out and laid down, letting out a contented sigh. Rowan followed, laying on his back and staring up into the sky.

Blinking her eyes open suddenly, Ranuki realized that she had fallen asleep in the grass. Indary was nearby, leaping at a butterfly.

'Come back you stupid thing! Stop taunting me!'

The butterfly was hovering just out of reach of Indary's jumps. Ranuki let a smile spill onto her lips before she realized that there was something crawling on her arm. Glancing at it, Ranuki gave a muffled shriek before knocking the spider off her arm. She hopped up and danced around, trying to escape the feeling of spiders crawling on her. Indary burst into riotous laughter as he watched the show, tongue lolling between his teeth.

Fleas. Stupid fleas! The reason Goruhana had to stay out of the house for the rest of the day. Buster, Osterly, and Tera had all gotten a bad case of them. The day before she had bathed them about five times, but after the fleas got all over everything in the house(and not to mention all over her, giving her about a million and one bites). She decided that since she couldn't be at home she would spend some time in the valley and then head over to the bath house later.

She stayed on the edge of the valley, hoping not to run into anyone. Well if the clio were an Aite......that'd be different.

She took off her hoody, balled in up and put it on the ground. She lay down on the ground and used it as a pillow. Tel curled up next to her stomach. Boy am I ever exhausted he yawned. Come to think of it Goruhana was also tired. With all the flea business and what not. Hopefully her servents were doing a good job cleaning.

As Cray arrived in the valley, she noticed many other clio, most were sleeping. One was jumping around like a crazy woman. She giggled quietly to herself. She also noticed Rowan. She liked Rowan, he was a nice guy, she thought.

Gaston yawned, causing Cray to yawn along with him. "Now Gaston, I came here to play, not to nap." She yawned again but she wouldn't be yawning for long.

Cray set her bag down, which was carrying Gaston. Gaston jumped out of the bag, and stood on his hindlegs, serveying the area. Cray picked Gaston up and tossed him into the air, and as he fell back down she caught him.

In the distance a madly jerking clio caught Ophelia's eye. The sight snapped her out of her reverie and drew a small smile across her lips. Her mind wasn't at ease like she'd hoped it would be if she left the Gully for a bit, but at least she was amused.

Back to earth, she scanned the valley. It seemed to be quite the destination that afternoon. Aside from the frenzied clio who'd caught her attention initially, she noted that both Rowan and Goruhana, fellow Overloridians, had arrived. Several other clio whom she didn't recognize were also wandering about, but for the moment Ophelia directed her attention at Rowan.

Maybe a bit of conversation will distract me, she mused. She'd never minded Rowan, he seemed to be one of the few Overloridians who had a semblance of self-control half the time. Eliot at her side, she closed her book and made her way to his resting place in the grass. Leaning over him, she smiled, her blond, gently curling hair streaming about her face.

"Hello there," she said lightly, "mind if I join you? I do hope I'm not interrupting..." It suddenly occurred to her that he might have been trying to nap. Too late now... she realized.

Rowan turned his head and stared at the somewhat-manic looking gray haired girl dancing around like she had just stepped on hot coals. Her daemon was laughing, which obviously meant she was in no pain. So Rowan simply watched her with a small amount of interest until his mind drifted off and he was simply staring blankly ahead.

"Hello there, mind if I join you? I do hope I'm not interrupting..."

Rowan snapped out of it and quickly sat up, slightly startled. "Oh, not at all," he said once he saw that it was Ophelia. A bit of small talk with her couldn't hurt. He smiled at her. "What brings you here, Ophelia? I wasn't expecting to see you until the meeting."

Ranuki paused in mid hop, completely mortified when she realized what she had been doing.

"Oh no..." She moaned as she collapsed onto the ground, cheeks bright red with embarrassment.

"THAT was entertaining!" Indary devilishly informed Ranuki, speaking out loud for once.

"Oh shut up." She moaned. Just how many people had seen that? She would never live it down. But spiders were evil... she hated spiders! Nasty, evil, despicable, diabolical...

The Aite Overloridian sat up so she could see over the grass. She saw a figure laying down with another figure close by.. From what she could tell the figure on the ground was a girl and nothing more. She also looked over to see a gray haired girl, her daemon laughing at her, jumping around but then just coming to a halt. She plumped on the ground looking embarassed. Goruhana laughed. Poor girl. She also saw two clio talking to each other in the far distance. That looked it to her. She rolled over and slowly drifted to sleep.

After a couple moments, her and Gaston stopped playing. "Guess what I brought Gaston?"

"Hmmm...?"

"SILVERWARE!" She quickly brought out a fork, and spoon from her back pockets, held them in the air, and screamed triumphnatly.

Embarrassed, Gaston quickly scurried back into the large bag.

While Alecis slept, Clyr kept watch. He noted several Overloridians and was glad that his own was asleep. He knew she came here to get away from all the trouble...
