oh brother, what art thou? [aven]

Things had been going incredibly strange these days. Only recently had clio started mistaking Arden for some clio called Aven Silver.

Well, now he wasn't only 'some clio.' He was Aven Silver. The Overloridian of Solas' kid brother. Up until the other day Arden hadn't even realized the Overloridian Lior had any siblings. Much less brothers.

So, Arden was definitely confused. Everyone was calling him Aven. Arden knew he was adopted but he never considered the possibility that he could have brothers. Or that he could be related to the Overloridian.

Arden had a deep respect for Lior. Usually Arden resented other men, but Lior was different. He'd heard rumors that Quinn, the Overloridian of Ughdarras had knocked on everyones' door to introduce himself as their Overloridian. Lior hadn't done that, but he was still young. He still ruled his country with dignity and all that good stuff.

And today, Arden was out walking around to clear his head. Sol sat snuggly in his pocket, seeing the world through Arden's eyes.

But even rational Arden could have never imagined the irrationality that was only right in front of him.

Aven made his way through the clio on Theodore Lane. It was such a crisp day outside, and Lior and Rowan were making quite a bit of noise back at home, and they wouldn't allow him to join them, so whatever game they were playing, Aven knew, he wasn't allowed to play too.

Plus Lucas couldn't come over because he had to work. Therefore, Aven was left in the company of Ra and the bustling street.

In his mind, a bubbly song from Braden's ipod played. "Do ya, do ya, do ya love me?" And you can't not dance to that song. =D Aven, not one to deny his instincts was dancing.

Until his eyes fell upon an all too familiar face he'd never seen before in his life.

There was no doubt in his mind that this had to be the Aven Silver he'd heard so much about in the past few days.

He stared at the other boy, apprehension visible on his face.

"Excuse me...Are you...?" He asked, getting closer slowly.

Sol peeked out of the pocket, looking at the other boy. He couldn't believe it either.

Arden wrote:"Excuse me...Are you...?"

"I'm Aven!" Aven said thrilled, "Who are you? You look just like me!"

"So you are!" Arden said, excitedly. "I've heard so much about you! Everyone thinks you're me!"

Then, calming down, he tucked his hands in his pockets, trying to act nonchalant. "...That's cool."

Aven got very excited. "Cool? That's amazing!" He lept at Arden, kissing him full on the mouth.

"I'm so happy!"

Arden gasped and shoved the other off of him. "No!" He yelled. "Don't you dare ever do that again!"

He looked around, sharply, to see that everyone, just as he'd suspected, was staring at the boys. They looked exactly alike. Twins. Identical twins. How exciting! In Amelia, twins didn't happen all that often.

"What do you think you're doing?" Arden spat.

Aven looked hurt as he was pushed away. Despite this, he still chirped, "OKAY." And nodded, indicating he wouldn't have the guts to do it again any time soon.

"I think I was kissing you hello! You look just like me! What's your name?"

Arden shook it off. He was too intensly interested in how it came to be that another in Amelia came to look just like he did.

"I'm Arden. Arden Gold." He said, "Do you, by chance, know if you have any brothers?"

Well that was a poor way of wording that question. "Yes! Lior Silver is my brother!"

Hello, Face, meet Palm.

"I mean other than Lior."

"OHHHHH." Aven smiled, only faintly embarassed. He shook his head. "No, sorry. I don't think I have any other brothers."

He thought about it a moment. "So that must make you my sister!"

Arden groaned. "I am most certainly am not your sister."

"What did you say your last name was, then? Gold? Then its a prophecy. You're definitley a Silver. Look at you. You look just like me. Duh, stupid face." Aven said, touching the other just to make sure he was really there.

"I better take you home to meet Lior."
