Fun fun fun! [Aven, Giovanna]

Luce beamed with delight as he wandered the carnival, Azarath resting on his shoulder, a colorful lizard. He was slightly sad just because he was alone. On the other hand he was ecstatic because he had found his sister at last. Unfortunately she was a little sick , so she just wanted to stay at home.

So, many, PEOPLE! UGH! Giovanna walked with her arms crossed over her chest. Curse those beautiful colors of the carnival, Giovanna couldn't help be drawn to it, all the time. But whenever she would land, bodies upon bodies would bump into her! How dare they touch her! At least they were looking at her beauty though. But ugh! Oh god! Some grimy little child with sticky cotten candy hands just touched her favorite white mini skirt! It will take weeks before that annoying blue stain can come out! Ugh!

Luce was content to just people watch. He had to grin a little though, when he saw one girl? Really pretty boy? walking through the crowds grimacing every time someone brushed or bumped into them. Judging by her hissing laugh, Azarath was enjoying the sight as well.

"Ugh!" Giovanna yelled out, "I'm sick of this!"

Finally, humming softly, Giovanna floated up, above all of the annoying Clio's who thought it was okay to bump into her.

If you hate it so much, why do you always come here? Allegra asked her telepathically.

Because, it's so pretty here! Like me! Giovanna answered.

Allegra rolled her eyes. Both of them were unaware that there was a clio laughing at them.

Luce calmed down again, his chuckle fading into a smile as he watched the clio float into the air. 'So she's a cuir. I have been thinking of that, but then again theres dian...'

'I give up. I can't tell if that is a girl or a boy.' Azarath moodily commented, climbing down Luce's leg only to reach an open space and morph into a snow leopard, tired of only having the vantage point of Luce's shoulder.

Finally, Giovanna felt at ease, and relaxed. Nobody was touching her now, but of course, they were looking at her, which was fine. She liked to be looked at. Giovanna floated up a little higher so she could do her second favorite thing ever, people watching! She looked at the many different faces, deciding who was hot, and who was not. Almost right away she noticed a guy with auburn hair and a cute face. Giovanna smiled, she could do lots of this with this guys hair.

Seeing the cuir clio looking at him, Luce gave a beaming smile and and wave before paying attention to Azarath. She had grabbed his arm gently in her mouth and tugged, turning to walk towards something that had interested her. She easily cleared a path, lashing her tail, growling and hissing here and there.

When the cute clio smiled at Giovanna, she smiled back. He seemed nice, Giovanna just hoped that he was unsettled, or she'd be, revolted.

Allegra rolled her cat eyes. It was amazing how Giovanna could change her mind so quickly, even her mood so quickly.

Eventually, the cute clio's daemon tugged on his arm and began taking him somewhere. Giovanna got curious, so she flew down to the clio and his daemon.

Giovanna landed in front of the clio and his daemon and with her best smiled, she said, "Hello!"

"Hi!" Luce practically chirped back, very cheerful on this fine day. "I'm Lucern, Lucern Lafriet, but you can call me Luce! Who are you?"

Still smiling, Giovanna said, "My name is Giovanna!"

She batted her eyelashes a bit, and smiled even more brightly.

Beaming a grin at Giovanna, Luce replied with much enthusiasm, "It's wonderful to meet you!" Sweeping an arm out to indicate his surroundings, he continued, "Isn't this place the best? It's so fun to look at all the clio and see all the fun going on!"

This clio, Lucern, seemed nice, Giovanna thought. Allegra, was very surprised that Giovanna was actually being nice, she was quite proud.

"I like the carnival, pretty colors, fun rides. I just wish people didn't touch me so much!" said Giovanna.

"Why?" Luce asked after a moment. "Are you going to melt if someone touches you?" Luce asked, smiling to take the sarcasm out of the statement.

"Are you going to melt if someone touches you?"

Giovanna thought about Lucern's question for a moment, and almost considered saying "yes", but instead she said, "No, people are just covered in yucky, and yucky on pretty doesn't mix well."

Giovanna nodded, satisfied with her answer.

"I never really thought of myself as yucky before." Luce replied, almost preening as he admired his reflection the catch-a-fish tank besides him.

Giovanna shrugged, she didn't think he was yucky either.

So she said it outloud, "I don't think you as yucky either."

"Well, thanks!" Luce cheerily replied, nearly bouncing as he gazed at the fish. "I've always wanted one of those fish." Luce absentmindedly stated before turning back to Giovana. "So, how is it being a Cuir clio?" He asked, ready to file away any useful information.

"So, how is it being a Cuir clio?"

"Oh! It's very fun! You get to sleep in the clouds, you can fly, and control the wind!" Giovanna said excitedly.

"And you don't sink through the clouds, even when your asleep? And aren't they wet?" Luce had a sudden mental image of himself sinking through a cloud and splatting onto the ground far below with a wet squelch. Azarath snickered at the idea. Maybe he didn't want to be a cuir after all.

Giovanna giggled at Lucern's question, and shook her head "no".

"Of course not, silly goose! We're perfectly safe up in the clouds! And dry!" she said, while looking up into the clouds.

"You never know." Luce solemnly replied, striving to keep his amusement from his voice and face, he failed, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "Then I don't have to eliminate cuir from my list of possibilities." Luce tacked on, sighing because he still wasn't quite sure what to join.

"Cuir is a great Eilemaiden. It's great being able to fly!" Giovanna said.

"I've always wanted to fly..." Luce replied, but still he didn't seem to be quite the cuir type... "But enough of my indecision!" Luce declared in an airy tone of voice. "So, is this your first time at the carnival?" Luce asked.

"So, is this your first time at the carnival?"

"No, actually," Giovanna replied, "I always catch myself flying in the air, seeing all the pretty colors, and landing here."

She giggled.

"I like all the excitement! I love watching the clio as they laugh and have a fun time. The random fights are always fun too." Luce gave a short snort of laughter, a smile on his face, thinking of the last fight he had witnessed.
