Charmaine opened the door to the tavern, seeing a few clio here and there. Diesel was draped around her shoulders, his tail wrapping gently around her neck. Her hand reached up to her face, her fingers slowly pushing aside her bangs.

Is there any reason we came here? Diesel asked, looking around the place. It seemed pretty dark and dirty, nothing like the couch at home.

Not really, Charmaine replied, taking a few steps in and closing the door behind her. She took a seat at the bar, shaking her head when the bartender asked if she wanted anything. I just figured we might as well get out of the house sometime.

Whatever, Diesel said, rolling his eyes a little before closing them and cuddling up against Charmaine's neck. Wake me up if something exciting happens.

Peyton came bursting into the Tavern, with hazy, blood shot eyes. He was high pot again, but why not make hiself worse by getting drunk as well?

Peyton casually strolled over to the bar, and sat next to a pretty clio with brown hair. He had been here numerous times that the bartender didn't even need to ask him what he had wanted, and handed him a beer.

Peyton opened the beer, took a large gulp and looked at the girl he sat next to.

"What's up?" he said a little loudly.

Charmaine smiled at the guy who sat next to her, glad that someone had started talking to her so quickly. Though she didn't usually like clio much, she was craving some today.

"Not much here," she said back to him, trying to figure out if he was high or just really awake. She guessed by the hair and the automatic beer that he was probably high. Cool, some form of excitement. "Just sitting here, bored. How about you?"

"Just sitting here, bored. How about you?"

"Nothin' much. Just makin' sure I don't cause the flies to catch up to my uncle." Peyton blabbed.

"Heeeyyyy...you ever try this stuff?" he asked her, pulling out a bag of pot from his jeans pocket.

Charmaine couldn't help but think this guy was strange. It was so wonderful.

"No, I haven't," she said, looking curiously at the bag of green stuff. She poked it as Diesel reopened his eyes.

"What is it?" Diesel asked, just as curious as Charmaine.

Peyton got this stupid grin on his face.

"It's called pot, my loves. It makes you happyyyyyy!" he said dreamily.

Charmaine smiled. "I wanna be happy," she said, especially if it would make her as happy as this guy. "Can I have some?"

Somehow Charm and Diesel didn't think that taking a strange substance from a strange man was a bad idea on any level. x] They were excited to try something new.

Peyton's grin got bigger. He grabbed the girls wrist and brought her outside and sat on a near by bench. He took out what looked like a white piece of paper, and sprinkled some of the pot on top of it, then he tightly rolled it into a joint, then he licked the paper and held it closed.

"Now," he said as he placed it in her left hand, "Take this in your left hand. Once I light it, take two puffs, and wait for the magic to beginnnn."

She did as she was told, taking the smoke in twice before blowing it out quickly and coughing a little bit. That was embarrassing. She laughed a little, looking to the thing in her hand. After a few minutes, she started to find the most random things to be just...hilarious.

She took her right hand, raising it to this guy's hair and just touching it a little. She giggled at how the hair moved a little when she touched it. Why did it do that?

"I think this is like..." she completely lost her thought, which was funny. That was really, really, really fucking hilarious. So she laughed and took two more puffs of the stuff, blowing the smoke out more slowly now, without coughing. She was getting the hang of it! Yes!

Ahahaaaa..hee.

Peyton laughed along with her. His high was starting to wear off though, so he politely took the blunt from her, took two puffs, then handed it back.

Peyton started laughing along with the girl, then said through his laughs, "Lookit how pretty you are!"

He poked her cheek, and laughed because it was squishy.

Charmaine widened her eyes and opened her mouth when he said she was pretty. She giggled and blinked some.

"You think I'm...pretty?" she said, giggling. She set her free hand on one of his. "I'll admit something to you. I think you're pretty, too."

He is... Diesel started to say, though he finished it aloud. "...pretty."

Peyton let out three loud, "HAs". The snow started falling again, and Peyton looked up.

"Look pretty lady! Its snowing!" he luaghed and snorted.

He stuck out his tongue and caught a few snowflakes on it.

"Hee hee, snowflakes," she said, looking up as well before looking back to the guy in front of her (she couldn't remember if they just hadn't introduced themselves or if she couldn't remember his name) and saw that his tongue was sticking out. She giggled and leaned in close to him, sticking her tongue out as well, poking his tongue with her own. She giggled. "Rape, hee hee."

Peyton jumped, being a bit surprised, but he didn't mind it. In fact, he liked it, a lot. So much that he grabbed her face and gave her a big sloppy kiss.

Once he pulled away, he blinked, then blushed a little. Even though he was high he still could get embarrassed.

Charmaine hadn't expected that sloppy kiss at all, but it was so much fun. When he pulled away and blushed, she couldn't help but laugh. He was so funneh.

She took two more drags of the joint, blowing the air up like a choo-choo-train. "Chugga chugga," she mumbled, licking her lips. She stared at the guy as hard as she could (which wasn't very hard, since she was still giggling and she didn't look very serious). "Look, mister, I'm gonna ask you a question." Diesel hopped onto her head, though he fell off and into her lap.

"She is," he said with a nod.

"Do you...like...me or potatoesies more. Because I need ta know."

Peyton sat and thought about the question for a moment, "Hmmm, well I do like potatoesies, but they're not pretty looking, they do taste good though."

He sat and thought again, the decided, "I like you more!"

Peyton grinned happily. He looked like a little school boy, but with hazy bloodshot eyes.

"Yay!" she said, hugging him tightly, trying to be careful and not hit him with the firey joint. "You're really, really, super-awesomely cool and fun and...stuff," she said as she unwrapped her arms from around him. "I'm glad I met you at that bar. And this," she said, looking at the blunt in her hand, "is pretty hip too."

Peyton grinned even wider when the girl hugged her. And when she held up the blunt he took two more puffs of it.

"Today is a good day." he said to her.

Suddendly, he didn't feel giggly anymore. He just felt very relaxed and at ease. He sighed, and sunk down on the bench a little.

Charmaine nodded. "It is a good day," she agreed. She noticed him sink into the bench some more, so she followed his lead, sinking as well. She rested her head against his shoulder and set her hand on his chest, playing with the buttons on his shirt as if they were keys on a piano. Diesel jumped onto the back of the bench, his tail hanging off and peacefully swaying in different directions.

"Do I know your name?" she asked.

Peyton put an arm around the girl resting her head on his shoulder. Then she asked what he thought was the hardest question that could ever be answered,

"Do I know your name?"

Peyton sat there for a moment, What is name? What does know mean? Then he nodded to himself and said, "My name is Peyton!"

There, he smiled at himself, he was proud.

"Oh," she said with a slight nod. "I love you, Peyton. I'm Naimchar. Char...maine. I'm Charmaine. And Diesel's back there, hanging out." She cackled at the punny joke she made, since Diesel was hanging out...on the bench...with them.

Peyton grinned again, "I love you too Naimchar, er Charmaine."

He figured he should introduce his daemon as well, what was his name? Oh yeah, George. "That's George," he said while pointing at the Tree Pangolin who was relaxing on his back.

"He's very smart, but only when I'm sober," he said, then laughed loudly.

Charmaine laughed with him. That was funny, because they WEREN'T sober. She started to wonder if this guy was ever sober. Her high was starting to wear off, but she wasn't thinking about that much. She was actually getting pretty sleepy, though she ws feeling hungry as well.

She closed her eyes, snuggling some more against his shoulder. "You want some more?" she asked, raising the hand with the joint.

Peyton looked at the blunt in her hand a nodded. Then took a couple more puffs. Even though it was SUB-ZERO outside, he felt rather warm and happy. He was getting the munchies though.

"Are you hungry?" he asked Charmaine.

She suddenly opened her eyes, a bit surprised at the fact that he like, knew she was hungry. "Yeah, I am," she said with a nod. She leaned up, looking to Peyton as Diesel pounced onto her lap. "Are you? 'Cause that'd be crazy."
