"...What did your father do to make you hate him so?" Rayla inquired.

"Numerous things. He sent my mother to her death and blames me for it. He hit on my brother and myself. He tried to control my life and delt harshly when I didn't comply to form... numerous other things." Ranuki still had the dark look on her face but breathed in once before calming down, breathing out slowly. Indary crouched beside her feet, hackles raised and growling savagely, even if quietly. "But was has happened has happened."

"Oh...I'm sorry to hear about that..." Rayla said, sympathizing with Ranuki.

After a moment's pause, she spoke again. "...I can actually sort of relate to that..."

"Anyone like that should die. Cruelty is wrong. Pointless.. Cruel clio need to die." Ranuki's tone was flat, her eyes flashing.

The wind blew through the trees while Ranuki returned to her normal expresionless face.

"So, just make sure the Eilemaiden you choose is the one you WANT to join. That's the point of my trip down memory lane."

"Moving on to a more cherry subject..." Indary muttered, calm but slightly droopy. "I once ate paste!" Indary randomly cried, bouncy all of a sudden.

Rayla was a bit surpirsed by Ranuki's words. She wasn't expecting such things to be said by her.

"...I'll, uh...I'll keep that in mind." she commented, not really knowing how to respond to Ranuki.

Rayla jumped a little when Indary cried out. She could only give him an expression that could be directly translated to "WTF?". Her daemon had the same expression as well.

"What! Don't look at me with those judging eyes!" Indary dramatically cried, throwing himself onto the ground. There was silence for a minute or so until Ranuki snorted and started laughing, a low warm chortle.

It startled Rayla when Ranuki started laughing. She wasn't expecting it. Not in the least. Nevertheless, she started laughing as well, unable to hold it back.

Baldrik, on the other hand, continued to stare at Indary with the same expression on his face.

"I t-think Balrik has had a few brain cells blown by Indary's antics." Ranuki mirthfully stated, stammering with laughter. Baldrik hadn't changed expression in the face of all of Indary's actions. The jackal in question was rolling his eyes with 'remorse' shining in them as he groveled on the ground, whining, "I knew it! I knew eating paste would be a terrible thing! Look at how everyone is judging me from actions when I was but a pup!"

Rayla looked over at her daemon, and saw the same expression that he'd had the last time she'd looked at him.

"...I think you're right." Rayla agreed.

She waved her hand in front of Baldrik's face, and he snapped back to reality.

"I-I'm oh-kay!" Baldrik shouted randomly.

"Wow! He's as zany as me! I shout random things all the time? Did you know that?" Indary asked gazing earnestly up at Ranuki and Rayla in turn, and then grinning at Baldrik.

Rayla just smiled an laughed a little nervously in response to Indary.

Baldrik, on the other hand, shouted something.

"I am NOT zany!!"

"Uh... you just randomly shouted something." Indary pointed out.

Ranuki leaned back and just enjoyed the show.

"I did not!" Baldrik retorted. "It was not random, as it had something to do with what you said!"

Rayla's only response was a facepalm.

"But you shouted." Indary pointed out. "You could have used a normal tone of voice."

"But, I chose not too...And just because I shouted, doesn't mean I shouted randomly." Baldrik shot back.

"But why are you getting so irritated? It only shows that I'm, right!" Indary smugly exclaimed.

"All right thats enough Indary. You've annoyed Baldrik enough already." Ranuki interrupted, smiling at the rambunctious jackal.

Taking Ranuki's cue that they should probably end the arguement, Rayla stepped in front of her daemon.

"I think that's enough, Baldrik."

"Sorry about Indary. He can get rather irritating after a while." Ranuki apologized, face sliding back into smoothness, like normal.

"Oh, it's okay." Rayla said. "Baldrik can get a little too arguementive at times."

"...Can not." Baldrik retorted.

Rayla sighed. "See what I mean?"

"Perfectly." Glancing a the sky, Ranuki realized how late... or early it was. She hadn't been getting much sleep lately and was tired. "Indary and I will have to make our leave now, Rayla, Baldrik. It was a pleasure meeting you two."
