Glistening Glass... [Rayla, Yolande, Wills]

Luce was flying. Soaring through the air, graceful as a swan, fast as a falcon. No. No, he was just flying through the air, heading head long for one of the Icey walls of the caves. Azarath was glued to Luce's shoulders, claws digging in in an attempt to stay on. 'This is going to hurt.'

Rayla stepped out onto the ice with her ice skates on. As soon as the blades touched the icey surface, though, her feet came out from under her and she landed face first.

Smooth... Baldrik commented.

'Oh, shush!' Rayla countered.

She sat up and rubbed her face, which was cold from the ice. She looked around a little bit, and saw a red-headed boy heading straight for one of the walls.

'That's not good...' Rayla thought to herself.

Will was skating around on the ice, making figure 8's with the blades on her skates. She was enjoying herself entirely, her daemon, Sheila, perched on her should.

As she skated around next to the walls, she noticed a white-haired girl that had fallen on her face as soon as she got on the ice. She couldn't help but giggle a little bit at that.

When she was looking at the white-haired girl, some red-haired boy almost ran into her. The very nerve of him! She watched him a little bit more, and he was heading straight for the wall.

"This is gonna' end badly~" Will said in a sing-songy way.

Skating and swimming, two of the only things Yolande felt accomplished and graceful at. Jumping and spinning, Yolande managed to glimpse a white haired girl go crashing face first into the ice. Wincing in symphony, Yolande landed her spin, transitioning into gliding sweeps which would lead up to another spinning leap. Then something -no, someone!- went flying past her at high speed.

"This is gonna' end badly~" Will said in a sing-songy way.

Hearing the sing-song taunt, Yolande looked first at the fallen girl -who looked fine- then at the girl who had uttered the comment, and from there towards where the person had passed her at high speed. She looked over just in time to see a red haired boy collide with one of the slippery walls, head-on.

"O-oh my!" She gasped, halting." 'Is he okay? That looked so painful!'

Now that is not something you see everyday. Merris remarked, smirking from the safety of Yolande's shoulders where he was drapped.

"Oh. Wow. I hurt." Luce muttered, colors swirling above his eyes.

"We are staying here." Azarath whimpered, whiskers and bady limp. Not even her tail twitched.

"Sounds good."

As the red-haired boy was about to run into the wall, Rayla looked away, not really wanting to watch. As she heard a loud thud!, she looked back over at him, only to see him fall over.

"Oh my gosh!" Rayla exclaimed, her voice full of worry and concern. She tried to get up, and did, for the most part. She began slipping and sliding her way over to him, wanting to see if he was okay.

No sooner had she said her previous statement had the red-haired boy ran into the wall head-on. She spun around and saw him lying on the cold, icy ground.

"Oh, dear..." Will said.

Sheila fluttered her wings a little bit. You should go over there to make sure he's okay, y'know?

'Yeah, you're right...' Will said, agreeing with her daemon. She began gliding over to the boy, hoping that he hadn't hurt himself too badly.

"Oh my! Oh dear!" Yolande murmured as she skated over to the boy. He seemed to just be laying on the ice. What if he broke and arm? His spine! What if he was DEAD?!

"Oh god, here we go again." Merris muttered as Yolande started panicking. Reaching the boy, Yolande knelt and saw that he had his eyes closed.

"AHHHH! He's dead!" She panicked, not knowing what to do.

"There are stars spinning around my head." Luce murmured before shutting his eyes and blocking out painful images.

Someone turn off the lights. Azarath added, the reflected light playing havoc with her and Luce's sight.

Will reached the boy after some other girl did. She noticed that his daemon seemed like it had been hurt as well.

"Hey, can either of you two hear me?" Will asked clio and daemon.

I don't think you have to be so loud... Sheila said to her clio. I'm sure their heads hurt enough as it is. You shouldn't make it worse.

"Sorry..." Will apologized aloud.

Rayla was the last of the three girls to make it over to the boy, due to master ice skating skills.

"I-is he o-okay?" Rayla asked the two girls nervously. "H-he sounded like he h-hit his head p-pretty h-hard..."

Don't be so shy, Rayla... Baldrik said. These girls seem nice.

"Ow pain... yeah... its not any worse than that time when I jumped out of the tree..." Luce answered, slowly opening his eyes. "This is really going to leave a few marks."

"Next time, practice more before going full speed." Azarath hissed, climbing shakily to her feet.

"O-o-h g-g-g-good!" Yolande breathed in relief.

"See? Over reacting as normal."

"A-a-are a-any b-b-bones b-broken? A-a-anything s-s-sprained?

Rayla couldn't help but pretty much repeat what Yolande had said.

"D-did you b-break anything? Do y-you have a c-concussion?"

Baldrik sighed hopelessly, wondering if Rayla would ever get over her shyness problem.

Will laughed a little at the two nervous girls. "Guys, don't worry so much! I think he's gonna' be fine."

She turned to the boy. "So, you're gonna' be okay then, seeing how this isn't any worse than jumping out of a tree?"

"Yeah. I broke an ankle jumping out of that two story tree... so I KNOW I don't have any broken bones. Just some nasty bruises." Luce smiled, completely undeterred by his accident.

"Maniac." Azarath hissed as she limped over to her clio.

Yolande stared speechless.
Does this guy have a death wish? Merris wondered.

"Really?" Will asked, amazed. "All you got was a broken ankle?! Wow, you must have some amazing stamina or something!"

Sheila rolled her eyes. Oh, puh-lease. I've heard of more impressive things.

Will ignored her daemon. "Is your daemon going to be alright?"

'I can't believe that's all he got from jumping out of a two story tall tree!' Rayla said, amazed.

Well, he's lucky that's all he got. Baldrik replied. He could've killed himself doing that.

"Yeah. I cushioned her landing. I actually got more scratches from her than tree branches. I thought I would be able to fly with no problem. Unfortunately I don't have the amount of power as a Cuir. I've learned THAT lesson well." Luce grimaced. "But the past is the past!" Luce finished with a dashing grin as he climbed wobbily to his feet.

"Pfft." Azarath rolled her eyes before leaping back up onto Luce's shoulder.

Can you say daredevilish? Merris asked, stupefied.

"Y-y-you're s-s-sure y-y-you're a-a-all r-r-right?"

"Boy, you're a different kind of crazy." Will said to the boy as he got back to his feet. "Y'know that?"

Took the words right out of my mouth. Sheila agreed.

"M-my goodness!" Rayla exclaimed as the boy began to climb to his feet. "You're already able to st-stand?!"

...He really thought he'd be able to fly? Baldrik questioned.

"Oh, yeah! I'll have some rainbow bruises, but, no bones broken. No time to keep trying to skate but the present!" Smiling, Luce raised an eyebrow as Azarath morphed into a blue jay, talons firmly embedded into the trench coat he was wearing. Turning back to the three girls around him, he asked the burning question, "So, who is it that I have the great fortune to meet? I'm Lucern Lafriet, but I go by Luce!" Another grin was directed to the three girls.

"Y-Y-Yolande S-Shardan." Yolande introduced herself.
