It's jolly good to be home again. [Rowan.]

Peyton burped, and stumbled into the Tavern. He had back to Amelia for about a day or so, er, was it a day? He couldn't remember.

Wobbling to a stool behind the bar, Peyton pounded his fist on the counter, laughed loudly, and orderd a beer from the bartender. Hesitently the bartender put a dark brown bottle of "liquid bliss" in front of Peyton and opened it for him. With a dumb grin on his face, Peyton brought the bottle to his lips, but missed, it hit his nose, he tried again, missed, it hit his cheek. Finally, the bartender directed the bottle to Peytons lips and he took a big swig of the foul smelling liquid.

"IT'S SO GOOD TO BE HOME!" Peyton bellowed loudly.

Single, overworked and unhappy, Rowan found little comfort anywhere outside the Tavern. But there he could drown his sorrows in alcohol forget about his problems for a few hours.

"IT'S SO GOOD TO BE HOME!"

Was the first thing he heard when he entered. He recognized the crazy-haired clio he'd met in the rift (Peyton was his name, right?) who was apparently already drunk out of his mind by the looks of things. He sat down next to Peyton and ordered himself some shots.

Ew Rowan, do we have to sit next to this guy? Nym whined, scooting away from the tree pangolin. He looks like a total loser.

Aren't you being a little pre-judgemental? Rowan replied, downing his shots.

Yeah, like you wouldn't be thinking the same thing in a normal state of mind... Nym grumbled.

"Hey," Rowan said to Peyton. "Didn't I meet you in the rift?"

"Hey,"

Peyton looked over at Rowan,

"Didn't I meet you in the rift?"

Peyton blinked at Rowan, and said, "Hey. Didn't I meet you at my moms house?"

With that, Peyton snorted, and laughed like it was the most funniest thing ever.

Rowan shook his head in an amused kind of way. "You," he said, "are wasted." And probably stoned or something, because usually clio didn't act THAT stupid when they were just drunk. Whatever, this guy was funny. Distracting.

And who wants to drink alone when there's a clio like this around?

"I'm not wasted, I'm just...wasted!" Peyton slurred.

He finished his first beer and orderd another one. Once again, the bartender had to help the bottle into Peytons mouth.

"Thank yeeewww maaaaaan!" Peyton said, giving a half hug to the bartender.

"I'm not wasted, I'm just...wasted!"

"Sorry, my mistake," Rowan rolled his eyes. He knew there was no way Peyton could catch his sarcasm. The guy was so drunk he couldn't even drink on his own anymore.

So why did he want to hang out with him? Maybe to make himself look better. Or because it was comforting to know that there were clio who had sunk lower than him. Whatever.

Peyton started laughing, very hard. Why? Who knows. But apparantly something in his brain made him laugh this hard.

Looking over at Rowan, and slapping his shoulder, he laughed harder, pounding the bar counter with his free fist.

Rowan actually started to laugh too (when was the last time he had laughed?) albeit not nearly as loudly as Peyton. He wasn't sure why he was laughing exactly; there was just something obscenely funny about a drunk guy laughing his ass off for no reason.

Then again, Rowan was getting pretty drunk himself so maybe that's why he was laughing.

"You're a pretty funny guy, Peyton," Rowan said once they had stopped, even though Peyton hadn't said or done anything intentionally humorous.

Peyton stopped laughing once Rowan had stopped laughing.

"You're a pretty funny guy, Peyton,"

"Aw *hiccup* thanks maaan." Peyton said.

He layed his head down on the bar counter top and closed his eyes for a moment.

"Uh, hey..." Rowan poked Peyton on the eyelid. He looked fast asleep. "C'mon, wake up. Wake up and..." he looked around, and then thought of something. "I'll buy you a drink."

Peytons head shot up and he made a face that sorta looked like :D

"Okay!" he said to Rowan eagerly.
