...Shadows...

"Hello" Raelin spoke in her dark chilling voice. " I see you are playing with your shadow. My father had that ability before abandoned me" She looked away in disgust holding back her anger from the thought of her family leaving. Raelin Slowly started to walk away. She turned around and struck a piece of Flint turning it into a flame in which she lit a pile of branches in her nearby resting place. "I am most alive in the evening, I think that is because of my dad, my mom was an Earalas like me. I'm not a nice person but you appear to not be leaving any time soon, would you care to join me?" She made an arm gesture to sit. Raelin and Pimeä were sitting not far from each other, Pimeä on a near by branch looking out into the dusk , and Raelin on the forest floor preparing her dinner.

"So....what is that you do exactly by making shadows dance. It doesn't appear to be very threatening." Raelin looked puzzled by the ability to move a shadow. She looked up at Pimeä and he dropped the very large squirre that hel had caught." Hmmm it appears this squirrel is all Pimeä could catch today. Perhaps I will have to leave briefly to find something more to eat I don't believe this will feed both of us and our two daemons." " Well it's not my fault that my talons can't hold a six course dinner, I didn't think there would be four of us, it's usually only us" Pimeä looked angrily at Raelin as he spoke with a sharp tone in his voice. Raelin gazed up at him " I felt compelled to invite umm well this clio...who plays with shadows to rest and eat with us. She didn't appear to be leaving" She then spoke to the other Clio " I don't know you name. Mine is Raelin, and this is my daemon, Pimeä he has a pretty testy attitude sometimes. Would you like me to get some more to eat for us?" Pimeä glared at Raelin. He looked very insulted.

"Seems like an intriguing Eilemaiden to posses, though I must admit I love to play with my fire" She grinned and then slowly looked up to Pimeä, "Maybe you and Warrick could become hunting buddies. Then you could carry a six course meal" Pimeä looked at her, stuck his head up and looked away as if he were ignoring what she had said. " Perhaps we could, I'm not so quick to trust another daemon so quickly and you shouldn't be so quick to trust another Eilemaiden" Raelin chuckled and then turned to Kendra " don't mind him though he has a slight point but I'm sure you are not out to get us, if Warrick would like to he could help Pimeä to bring some more food. I travel often I am never in one place for too long. I would like to see some more of what you can do with your shadows. Perhaps I am more friendly towards a clio with an Eilemaiden that runs in my family then others." Raelin looked up to the sky and then she made the flames in the fire rise higher to create a fierce fire but then quickly contained it. " I'm sorry about that hot rush of anger that overcame me" pointing at the fire "I get thoughts sometimes that get the best of me, if you are willing to show me more of your Eilemaiden I will show you some of my abilities if you wish" Pimeä set off into the night sky hoping Warrick would follow him, Raelin watched the fire intently waiting for Kendra's response.

"That's pretty entertaining, watching shadows fight" she laughed " I'm sure in fight they can be pretty terrifying, but can you actually hurt people with them?"
Raelin stood close to the fire, gazing intently into the fire as if she were to talk to it. Instead she dimmed the fire to a subtle sizzle of the hot coals speaking to each other. She then made the coals raise into flames higher than the trees and go in all directions covering the night sky, casting out a magnificent glow of reds, yellows, and oranges. Slowly she calmed it back into a tiny fire made to roast a small dinner. Raelin stood
there gathering her thoughts trying to calm her self from all the excitement.
"That's just a little of what is possible. It drains me to do all that, but that is what happens when I get angry. I am still working on controlling my thoughts so I don't harm the forest. I can make all sorts of shapes with the fire too" Raelin sat back on the ground breathing heavily, and trying to regather her energy. At last Raelin conjured the flames into two magnificent birds flying together imitating Warrick and Pimeä.

"Thank You, I don't show everyone. In fact I'm usually not around people that much I stick to forests and mountains." Raelin looked into the night sky hoping that Pimeä would return soon. "I'm hungry."
