"Breathe in," Wes said, and the two took a large breath in. "And out." The two (and their daemons) were on top of the mountain, sitting indian-style on mats made of leaves from the trees behind them. Charlie easily grew restless and opened her eyes, which she wasn't allowed to do, only to find Milo only a few inches away from her, looking right into her eyes. Charlie screamed and fell back, deciding just to stay there.

"I told you not to open your eyes," Wes said, looking at the girl. "This is a different way of training, you need to have different ways to strategize."

"I don't careee," Charlie said, sitting back up and scratching her head. "This is boring. Can I just slide down the mountain once?"

Wes sighed. "One time, and then you're going to come back up here and train some more." Charlie smiled and nodded, Wes closing his eyes and going back to his meditation and concentration and whatnot.

Charlie stood up, looking over the edge with a huge smile. She loved going down the mountain. She slipped off her shoes and stepped on the edge, looking up to see Mae circle over her. Charlie looked back down to the mountain, seeing where certain rocks came out and where she could slide. She jumped off, landing on the edge of the mountain and moving her feet this way and that, avoiding big rocks that would take more effort to move. She screamed with excitement, her arms in the air.

'You're crazy!' Mae said, following behind Charlie.

'But it's so much fuuuuunnnnnn!' she replied, sliding faster.

Alecis and Rheis were racing up the mountain, laughing as they weaved in and out of large boulders.

Suddenly, Rheis stopped dead in his tracks, his eyes wide. Alecis nearly ran into him before she quickly switched to his vision and saw a blur winding down the mountain, heading straight towards them.

Quickly, the clio grabbed her daemon and jumped behind the nearest boulder. The blur whipped past their hiding place and Alecis recognized it as Charlie, the Adhbhar Overloridian. Alecis had no problem with this girl and smiled with relief.

Then a pang of guilt hit her.

Charlie was going too fast to automatically stop to say hi to Alecis, since Mae had told Charlie that she was there. So instead she turned as she passed, waving frantically and excitedly, glad to see Alecis. She was slowing down, but obviously wasn't watching behind her.

"Alecis! Hi! ALECI--!"

"Charlie! WATCH OUT!" Mae warned, but a bit too late. Charlie smacked right into a large boulder. She screamed from the random impact, though it didn't hurt, and slid down to the ground, extremely embarrassed.

Alecis knew that the collision with the boulder couldn't have hurt Charlie, but she was a little worried anyway. She ran down the mountain, towards the girl and her dæmon. When she got there she offered her hand to Charlie, wanting to help her up.

"Woah there, Charlie, maybe next time you shouldn't go so fast." Alecis laughed.
